Annual Reports

The number of child deaths reflected by the annual reports below is based on the information available at the time the report is prepared. Senate Bill 7078 (2015) changed the date of the annual report from October 1 to December 1. The annual report covers the reviews of all cases reported to the Central Abuse Hotline in the previous calendar year.


Local Committees Reports

The narratives below are directly from Local Child Abuse Death Review Committees. The content has been redacted but not amended. The decision to provide narrative comment is made by local committees for each child death reviewed.


State and Local Committee Guidelines

The Florida Department of Health provides administrative support to the State and Local Child Abuse Death Review Committees.

These guidelines were developed by the Protocol and Guidelines Committee of the State Child Abuse Death Review Committee with assistance from the Department of Health support staff.
